During the major expansion of the St-Jean-sur-Richelieu Hospital, we made furniture for three levels of the complex. We used easily identifiable colours to differentiate various services. Particular emphasis was placed on the functional aspect and durability of the furniture.

The Lévis Cancer Centre

As an addition to the Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis, the new Cancer Centre was a very major project for Boisdaction. Besides focusing on creation of functional and durable furniture, the project was supervised by the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada’s (AWMAC) Guarantee and Inspection Service (GIS).

Located at Concordia University, this project required use of beautiful colour accents and different materials such as glass and metal. The wood used in this project was specifically chosen for this project.

The choice of white, pared-down furniture was particularly ideal for this project, as it highlights the various literary works exhibited throughout the building. As well, the furniture’s dimensions were tailored to the clientele targeted by each sector of the library.

For an organization like EY, spaces had to be both practical and aesthetic. This is why different textures were used, while ensuring that the furniture fit naturally into spaces.

Based on the kiosk concept, this project required adapting certain parts of the furniture to the more traditional environment of a store. Each piece of furniture was designed with emphasis on the products for sale. Even furnishings with a mainly practical function, such as storage cabinets, are used to enhance the environment and showcase products.
